Announced by the State Government of Victoria NGV Contemporary will be the centrepiece of Melbourne's new redeveloped arts precinct at Southbank. NGV director Tony Ellwood says he is, "the happiest gallery director in Australia right now" in response to the $200 million commitment to NGV Contemporary. Creative Industries Minister, Martin Foley MP, says the commitment will cement Victoria as a global leader in the arts world. Read more.
