La Trobe Art Institute (LAI) announces first participant in the Emerging Curators Program

Tuesday October 10th, 2017

In 2018, the first iteration of the LAI’s Emerging Curators Program will take place, giving a gallery space over to an emerging curator (or collective) to produce an exhibition. The first participant in the program is Brigid Hansen, a recent graduate from the Master of Art Management program at RMIT. The theme of Brigid’s show will be the use of humour in contemporary Australian art, with a focus on marginalised voices. LAI curatorial staff will assist as mentors and project advisers, supporting Brigid in all facets of exhibition preparation and delivery. More information.
