Koorie Heritage Trust (KHT) reopened last weekend after an extensive renovation and expansion. The design and building works were led by Lyons Architecture in collaboration with First Nations architect Jefa Greenaway of Greenaway Architecture and Architecture Associates. KHT now occupies all three levels of the Birrarung Building (formerly Yarra Building) at Fed Square.
Expanding from a footprint of 1,145 square metres to 1,740 square metres, KHT now has a new welcome area and welcome desk, new meeting spaces, new exhibition spaces on level two and redesigned interiors.
