Judith Ryan, Senior Curator of Indigenous Art at the National Gallery of Victoria has retired after a 44 year career. Judith greatly contributed to the development and scholarly interpretation of a nationally important public collection of Australian and Torres Strait Islander art, which will be her lasting legacy.
We acknowledge and thank Judith for her commitment to our sector through her participation in programs at metropolitan and regional galleries across Victoria throughout her tenure. In 2012, Judith led a memorable tour of the exhibition Tjukurrtjanu: Origins of Western Desert Art with John Kean for PGAV members.
