Burrinja receives a $1.25 million Victorian State Government grant

Thursday December 14th, 2017

Burrinja has announced a $1.25 million Victorian State Government grant through the Growing Suburbs Fund for the internal redevelopment of the Burrinja Cultural Centre. This funding has been matched by Yarra Ranges Council to fully fund the $2.5 million refit. The project will transform three creative spaces into a flowing active and more usable space. The redevelopment will reconfigure the Burrinja galleries – incorporating museum standard lighting and climate control; and fully re-develop the artist studios and creative making spaces; café, hospitality and music performance space; along with the main entrance to the building. Work is scheduled to begin in late 2018 with completion during 2019. More information.
