The PGAV is partnering with the Arts Law Centre of Australia, Bendigo Art Gallery, Koorie Heritage Trust, Shepparton Art Museum & Kaiela Arts, and Warrnambool Art Gallery to deliver Artists in the Black across Victoria throughout May and June. The initiative will provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and community members with information on copyright, contracts, licencing, commissioning of artworks and Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP), as well as behind the scenes tours of public galleries by the people involved in developing and presenting exhibitions and managing collections. The initiative has been made possible with the support of the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust and the Besen Family Foundation.
