2018 Robert Salzer Foundation Acquisition Fund

The Robert Salzer Foundation provides $50,000 to enable eligible galleries in Victoria to purchase two-dimensional works of art for their permanent collections.  This unique fund plays a vital role in enabling galleries to acquire key works of visual art for the benefit of their audiences and communities. The PGAV is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2018 Robert Salzer Foundation Acquisition Fund and the works acquired:

Benalla Art Gallery |  Flooded , a painting by Ivan Durrant   

Geelong Gallery |  Spring , a painting by Brett Colquhoun 

Gippsland Art Gallery |   God Only Knows , a painting by  Kevin Mortensen 

Latrobe Regional Gallery | The Long Goodbye , a photograph by Pat Brassington 

Monash Gallery of Art |  The Cook , a photograph by Anne Zahalka on the last stock of Ilfachrome 

Shepparton Art Museum |  three photographs from the series A Series of Unwarranted Events by Hayley Millar-Baker 

Shepparton Art Museum |  Determination , a drawing on fabric by Pierre Mukeba 

Warrnambool Art Gallery |  four photographs from the series A Series of Unwarranted Events by Hayley Millar-Baker
