Chromatica: The Art of Colour

19 Oct 2024 – 26 Jan 2025

Chromatica: The Art of Colour is a carefully curated exhibition, that explores the history, science, and psychology of colour through the Hamilton Gallery collection. It features a rich variety of works, spanning from antiquities to post-modern art, including fashion, prints, paintings, ceramics and glass. Chromatica reveals how artists across time have used colour to evoke emotion, tell stories, and capture the world around them and includes artworks by Howard Arkley, Sidney Nolan, Patricia Piccinini, John Olsen, Tim Storrier, Utagawa Hiroshige and many others.
