Presented by Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP), UNBOUND: New Photo Zines brings together six emerging Australian photographers in a major group exhibition at ArtSpace at Realm.
First appearing in the CCP.PE.ZINE series in 2025, these artists represent the next generation of Australian photography. Emerging from CCP’s long-standing commitment to accessible publishing and artistic experimentation, this exhibition expands these works from the printed page to the gallery wall.
Featuring work by Minami Ivory, Nik Ranepura, Yask Desai, Ryley Clarke, Patricia Sofra and Hussein Abdirahman Mohamud, UNBOUND: New Photo Zines explores the artists' unique ways of using the camera to spark new narratives, ideas and explorations of contemporary visual storytelling.
About CCP.PE.ZINE
CCP.PE.ZINE is a publishing project by the Centre for Contemporary Photography and Perimeter Editions that aims to increase access to the work of young and emerging Australian photographers.
Each photographer is featured in a zine - a small self-published booklet or magazine. Zines often exist outside mainstream publishing and are created with a simple, accessible and affordable do-it-yourself (DIY) ethos. They are typically devoted to specialised, niche or unconventional subject matter.
CCP Director Daniel Boetker-Smith selected the first six projects to feature in these affordable, tactile and intentionally democratic publications.
This ongoing project champions new photographers whose practices are urgent, personal, and visually engaging.
