Crafted in 1991 by over a hundred young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds under the guidance of artist Sue Circosta, The Maze was a large-scale immersive papier-mâché installation. More than thirty years later, it returns reimagined through contemporary activations by artists Fayen d’Evie and Jon Tjhia, reconnecting cultures and generations while exploring feelings, dreams, nature, and the idea of conflict resolution.
Complemented by an archival exhibition at Heritage Hill Museum and Historic Gardens. Together, these two exhibitions invite audiences to reflect on the transformative power of art to build bridges — between generations, across cultures, and through time.
