The Countess Report on gender equality in the visual arts

Elvis Richardson has released the latest benchmarking report on gender equality in the Australian contemporary visual art sector. It compiles and analyses data on education, prizes, funding, art media, staffing at organisations as well as exhibitions across a wide range of galleries in Australia. Public and regional galleries fair relatively well with their 2014 exhibition programs having included 45% female artists, 50% male artists and 5% collaborations.
