Advancements in Collection Care: Virtual Couriering

Virtual Couriering enables monitoring of artwork remotely made necessary by travel restrictions and barriers posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. This session will provide an overview of the courier process, the evolving risk landscape, and technological and future considerations. This will be followed by an outline of recent NGV case studies involving “virtual couriers” in the install and deinstallation of artworks and exhibitions.
