PGAV + NGV Condition Reporting Workshop (Workshop 2)

Monday 19 Jun 2023, 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Condition reports are written or digital records that describe the physical condition of an artwork at a given time. They offer documentary evidence of the presence or absence of change over time, which when used in conjunction with photographs, are useful for informing and assessing loan and collection conditions and museum practices.

Join conservators for a one-day workshop at the NGV as we review the purpose of the condition reporting process, look closely at the condition of various collection materials, review options for condition assessment formats and consider simple technical examination techniques and digital technologies to incorporate into practice.

Date: Tuesday 19 June 2023
Time: 9.30am - 4pm
Where: NGV International, 180 St Kilda Road, Southbank
Participants: PGAV Members only. Limited to 12 pax
Morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch provided
