PGAV & NETS Victoria Submission - Inquiry into the impact of COVID-19 on the tourism and events sectors

Monday April 19th, 2021

The PGAV & NETS Victoria completed a joint submission to the Victorian Government's Inquiry into the impact of COVID-19 on the tourism and events sectors. The inquiry is being undertaken by the Economy and Infrastructure Committee "to identify key issues and areas of concern and provide recommendations for State Government support measures that will restore the tourism and event sectors to their critical role in the Victorian economy and
restore lost jobs".

Our submission was based on consultation with the public gallery sector in Victoria undertaken in March 2021, together with longitudinal benchmarking of the sector. Our includes a number of recommendations to restore the public gallery sector to its critical role in the Victorian visitor economy.
