Seven gallery spaces are housed within the complex, showcasing an annual program of state and national touring exhibitions together with LRG curated and permanent collection exhibitions.
The Gallery’s impressive collection represents contemporary Australian art in all media and a diverse range of historical and contemporary images of the Gippsland region.
The Gallery's collection includes paintings and prints by some of Australia's best known artists from the nineteenth century through to the early 2000s.
Permanent Collection
Latrobe Regional Gallery has an impressive collection of regional and national significance. It’s made up of over 1500 works of art in all media, and includes a diverse range of historical and contemporary images of the Gippsland region. The collection includes significant individual works by Jessie Traill, Noel Counihan, Jan Senbergs, Mandy Martin, Kevin Mortensen and the following larger collections:
The Maryvale Art Foundation Collection; Alan Aldous Asian Art Collection; Perfume bottle collection; Colin Suggett Sculpture Collection; and A significant number of contemporary works donated from the Bank of Melbourne Regional Art Collection.

We are located at 138 Commercial Road Morwell, easy walking distance from the Morwell Train and Bus Station, approx. 10min.
By car from Melbourne
Travelling along the M1 from Melbourne exit onto Morwell-Thorpdale Rd/Strzelecki Hwy/B460 towards Morwell, continue onto Commercial Rd, at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on Commercial Rd, destination will be on the left 138 Commercial Road. There is plenty of parking directly opposite the Gallery.

Mobility access Lifts and ramps ensure easy access to all areas of the Gallery. A wheelchair is available and can be reserved for you by phoning before your visit.
Toilet and infant change Male and female amenities with wheelchair access are available. An infant change table is also provided.
Breast feeding The gallery is a breast feeding friendly venue.

There is currently no cafe at Latrobe Regional Gallery. Food & drink options are available nearby on Commercial Road.
LRG Shop
A celebration of Gippsland artists and makers with a focus on works inspired by our natural world. Our curated selection offers a range of ceramics, jewellery, and books with a lesser impact on our environment either in the making process or packaging. LRG Shop also curates a dedicated section responding to the Gallery’s current exhibitions.
