Imprint: Word Play in Art Space

16 Apr 2025 – 11 May 2025

The Victorian Artists Society Gallery hosts Imprint - a storytelling event - that combines art, word and song through a program of exhibitions, events, workshops, and a symposium, running over four weeks. Imprint is a coming together of scholars, artists, practitioners, and creativity enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas and explore the relationship between art and storytelling.

Spanning the three upper galleries for the duration of the Imprint program, Jennifer Fyfe presents descript, a body of work created over five years. Fyfe’s artworks are a combination of vintage texts, oil paintings and community stories told in oil paint, ink and braille. Displayed with accessibility in mind, the exhibition is complemented by two installations designed to inspire visitor interaction and discussion.
