GALLERY INSIGHTS: Latrobe Regional Gallery

Join Gallery Director, Dr Mark Themann for a discussion of how he brought René Magritte: The Revealing Image to Latrobe Regional Gallery, including a $1.51 million renovation of the gallery entry, lighting, exhibition spaces, storage, retail and café. This will be followed by a viewing of the Magritte exhibition, featuring photographs and films never before seen in Australia.  Also showing is MINE – The Film Will Always Be With You an exhibition of video works by a selection of South African artists which was last shown at TATE Modern, London.

12:45pm: Arrive at Latrobe Regional Gallery – lunch at the gallery cafe

1:15pm:  Meet at the Latrobe Regional Gallery front desk

1:20pm: Dr Mark Themann will speak with members

1:45pm: View the Magritte exhibition & MINE – The Film Will Always Be With You.

3pm: Event ends

Travel to and from Latrobe Regional Gallery

V/Line to Morwell – departs Southern Cross Station at 10:20am

V/Line to Melbourne: departs Morwell at 3:25pm (arrives Southern Cross Station at 5:30pm)

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Registered participants that are no longer able to attend may nominate a substitute up until the starting time. Where possible, please notify the PGAV of substitutions and cancellations by email, up until 5pm, Wednesday 11 October 2017. Cancellations received before 5pm, Thursday 12 October 2017 will be refunded, less an administration fee of $5.50 inc GST. Cancellations received after 5pm, Thursday 12 October 2017 are not refundable. Exceptions are at the discretion of the PGAV.
