This video installation examines the connections and ruptures we make while living between two realities: the internal one of self and the external world with its demands and offerings. As an artist with a disability, Nikki Willson’s experience of reconciling this inherent disconnect can be a difficult and painful one. With these works she uses the body as a tool to make these struggles visible.
