Far From Home by Thitibodee Rungteerawattananon

18 Sep 2025 – 1 Nov 2025

Far From Home is a personal journey into the memory of a place never seen, tracing the escape of the artist's family from war-torn China to Thailand. Through video and painting, the work confronts fractured language, generational silence, and the struggle to reconstruct identity from inherited trauma. It offers a poetic meditation on absence, resilience, and the invisible scars of history.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Thitibodee Rungteerawattananon is a Bangkok-born artist working across painting, video, and conceptual installations. His work interrogates memory, marginalisation, and postcolonial histories, often engaging with overlooked labour and invisible narratives. Known for his Thai Message project and THE AIR exhibition, he has shown work internationally in Australia, USA, and Southeast Asia. Thitibodee is committed to accessible art practices and frequently collaborates with diverse communities to question cultural hierarchies and create democratic platforms for storytelling.
