COVID-19 UPDATE: INFORMATION FOR VISITORS ATTENDING PUBLIC GALLERIES
Stage 4 restrictions are in place from 6pm on Sunday 2 August for metropolitan Melbourne.
Stage 3 restrictions will be in place from 11:59pm on Wednesday 5 August for Regional Victoria, including Mitchell Shire.
The new restrictions will be in effect for the next 6 weeks - until approximately 13 September.
Public galleries across metropolitan (including outer metropolitan) Melbourne must remain closed.
Public galleries in regional Victoria must close when Stage 3 Restrictions come into effect at 11:59pm on Wednesday 5 August.

Here at East Gippsland Art Gallery, we are open to bold ideas and different ways of seeing and championing the visual arts and artists in our region. We are passionate about engaging and inspiring the next generation of art lovers in our community. Every month we have exhibition openings, artist talks, events and art workshops. Over the next few months we have a dynamic range of diverse exhibitions that will engage and inspire community and visitors alike.
 
Discover paintings, drawings, mixed media, prints and 3D works that inspire, excite and challenge. The Gallery Shop stocks books, magazines and a variety of fine arts and crafts produced by local artists and the friendly staff is able to provide visitors with information about other arts venues, artists and art and cultural activities in the region. Visitors from Melbourne have the option to travel by train to Bairnsdale. See the PTV website for details.

Bairnsdale is situated 280km east of Melbourne and can be reached via M1 and A1.

Parking is available at the front and rear of the Gallery.
