Do We Need a Board? | Free Webinar on Arts & Not-for-Profit Governance

Thursday 28 Aug 2025, 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM

This free webinar marks the launch of the Fourth Edition of The Book of the Board by David Fishel — Australia’s essential governance guide for the not-for-profit sector.

📅 Thursday 28 August 2025, 9:30am AEST
🎟️ Free event | Registrations essential

Join governance experts David Fishel, Heather Watson and Steven Bowman for a lively one-hour conversation exploring whether traditional board structures still serve arts and not-for-profit organisations. This timely discussion will be valuable for board members and executive officers.

As the board member of a not-for-profit organisation you dedicate your time – often without financial recompense. As the CEO of a not-profit-profit you devote time to servicing board meetings. But what is the ‘return on investment’ of these boards? How do we know if the board is adding value to the organisation? And do we really have to have a board – or are there other structures available to us?

Reserve your place for this free webinar to receive further updates and a link to attend.

Participants will be eligible for 20% off a print copy of The Book of the Board (4th Edition).
