The Central Goldfields Art Gallery is situated in the picturesque historic fire station built in 1861, a short walk from the CBD.

The gallery presents an engaging exhibition program that includes regional artists and touring exhibitions. The calendar of events is complimented by inspiring public programs and educational workshops.

The gallery is the home of the Golden Textures acquisitive textile art exhibition. Featuring outstanding art quilts from all over Australia. The gallery also showcases local talent in the eagerly anticipated annual VCE Art and Design and Community Art exhibitions.

Permanent Collection

The Central Goldfields Art Gallery growing collection includes the works by artist of regional and national significance. Recent acquisitions include works by Arthur Boyd, Ray Crooke, Dean Bowen and Pro Hart.
