Immerse yourself in contemporary Australian painting at this year’s Bayside Painting Prize and cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award.

The finalist exhibition brings together a broad range of artists from across Australia, whose varied approaches to the painted medium convey the breadth and diversity of current Australian painting practices. Featuring a non-acquisitive Major prize of $25,000, a $10,000 Beckett Local Prize (acquisitive), and a $1,000 People’s Choice Award, this is the only annual painting prize held in Melbourne.

The Prize is an important opportunity for Bayside City Council to add exceptional works of art with a local connection to its collection and to promote art and artists as a valuable part of the Australian community.
