The Messenger - Sam Jinks

Back

The Messenger is a hyperrealist sculpture by internationally lauded artist Sam Jinks. Commissioned by, and on permanent exhibition at the Hellenic Museum, this artwork is inspired by an ancient statue of Greek messenger goddess Iris which once graced the west pediment of the Parthenon. This is the second major commission in the Hellenic Museum’s Dialogue Series, which asks contemporary artists to respond to the theme of Hellenism through their chosen medium.
