Cherish is a new series of paintings by contemporary abstract artist Stacey Rees, which reflects on the current time, where moments of calm and solace are precious. Across ten paintings Rees explores a freer spirit, rapturous and non-conforming through form, colour and gesture. Each canvas becomes a journal of the everyday, in thought and mood.
Stacey Rees is based in the Grampians, Victoria. In 2021 her debut solo exhibition Golden Hour was held at Saint Cloche, Sydney. In the same year her work has featured in the online publications Sight Unseen, New York and Design Files, Australia.
Stacey Rees: Cherish is curated by Alison Eggleton. A Horsham Regional Art Gallery exhibition.
