Simone Nolan holds over twenty years' experience within the Gallery and Museum Sector. She is an arts management professional who successfully merges her curatorial practice and project management skills across the Visual Arts, Social History and Cultural Heritage areas. Simone has specialist skills in curatorial practice, she has a solid programming and venue management background as well as experience in collections management and public art.
Simone holds a deep understanding of both metropolitan and regional gallery models particularly within the local government environment. Simone was appointed the Director of the Wangaratta Art Gallery in September 2016. Simone is passionate about regional communities having access to high quality exhibition programming along with meaningful community engagement and wellbeing outcomes through the visual arts and creative economies.
