Serena Wong has worked across the arts sector in Queensland, South Australia and Victoria. Her experience includes working in a state gallery, artist-run-initiatives, contemporary art galleries, festivals, and for the last 7 years has worked regionally at the Riddoch Art Gallery in South Australia and now at the Warrnambool Art Gallery as the Curator, Collections.
Serena is passionate about dreaming big, but working strategically and as a regional arts worker, believes this is an essential part of our role. With experience in curating, installing, infrastructure, collections, finance, arts writing and staff management, Serena has significant insight into the difficulties and strengths of small to medium galleries.
Serena has also been the treasurer for the Regional Galleries Association of South Australia and a peer assessor for Creative Australia and holds a Masters in Art History and Masters in Curating from the University of Adelaide.
