Nikolai is an Assistant Director in policy at the National Disability Insurance Agency, leading the development and implementation of NDIS reform. Recently, he worked as a consultant on major evaluations and strategy projects across health, education, aged care and the creative industries, impacting significant public sector transformations. He has also previously worked in procurement and finance at the Department of Home Affairs.

Nikolai currently chairs the Young IPAA Victoria community of practice, fostering peer learning and engagement among emerging public purpose leaders. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) and Bachelor of International Relations from the Australian National University. Nikolai is also a keen runner, hockey player and rock climber.
