Material World refers to a personal world created in response to our physical surroundings. Using tactile fabrics and media, the artists in Material World represent themes of corporal curiosity, sexual politics, the home, possessions, consumerism and the imaginary world. Within this practice there is a stark transition from idea and concept into visceral threads and textiles. Co-curated by Peter Douglas and Jodie Kipps and featuring artists Terry Williams, Chris O’Brien, Bronwyn Hack, Mathew Gove, Megan Sloan, Rosie O’Brien, Daniel Pace and Adrian Lazzaro, amongst others.
