Louise joined the Art Gallery of Ballarat as Director in June 2018.  Prior to this she was Assistant Director- Content & Innovation at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.  She was Manager, Exhibitions at the State Library of NSW for four and a half years where she expanded the exhibition program; increasing attendance and diversifying audiences.  Previous roles include Head of Special Projects and Exhibitions at HHT, Director SH Ervin Gallery and Senior Curator, University of Sydney.  She has been Director of Latrobe Regional Gallery, worked at the Venice Biennale and was Acting Director Bendigo Art Gallery, Acting Director Shepparton Art Gallery and Curator Warrnambool Art Gallery.  She has served on committees for Museums and Galleries NSW, Museums Australia, Arts Victoria, NETS and the PGAV.  She has curated over 100 exhibitions and written extensively for catalogues and journals.  She has a BA and a Graduate Diploma in Curatorship from ANU, is a 2005 graduate of the Museum Leadership Program, in 2015 undertook a Diploma in the International Leadership Program for Visual Arts Management at NYU and in 2018 took part in the Oxford Cultural Leaders program.
