In this information session, Suzanne Derry, Senior Solicitor and Aditya Vasudevan, Solicitor from the Arts Law Centre of Australia will discuss the key issues public galleries need to take into account when digitising collections. From protecting artists' copyright, moral rights and Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP), to making collection items available on third-party websites like Trove and Victorian Collections. This session will coincide with the publishing of a new PGAV Fact Sheet, Digitising Collections - Copyright Essentials, developed in partnership with the Arts Law Centre of Australia.
