Location: Gallery 1

Home is an exhibition featuring work by artists with an asylum seeker or refugee background. This national exhibition aims to recognise and nurture the talents of refugee and newly arrived artists and provides them with opportunities to develop professional pathways to working in the visual arts in Australia. Proudly supported by IKEA Springvale , the exhibition offers professional development opportunities, mentoring and ongoing assistance for participating artists.

This year, the selected artists are Elyas Alavi, Zia Atahi, Lobsang Dhoyou, Mirwais Janbaz, Tadros Hanna, and Amir Tehrani.

The exhibition opening is on Thursday 18 October, 6.30pm at Walker Street Gallery & Arts Centre.
