Curated by Sophia Cai
Online exhibition

Hamilton Gallery in partnership with NETS Victoria, presents the digital exhibition Home is more than a place

What started as a lockdown project has now turned into a digital exhibition.  Inspired by the history of Hamilton Gallery, the exhibition pairs 15 historical and contemporary artworks that reflect on the internal and external experience of home, bringing a fresh perspective to Hamilton Gallery’s collection. Through the contrasting side-by-side pairings, Sophia raises questions about belonging and migration and invites the audiences to explore the meaning of home beyond a physical place.

Explore the exhibition here: http://www.hamiltongallery.org/whats-on/2021/home-is-more-than-a-place.html

A Hamilton Gallery and NETS Victoria digital exhibition for the 50/50 series. The project is supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.
