EXHIBITION LRG HORSE GIRL ENERGY

HORSE GIRL ENERGY

12 Jul 2024 – 27 Oct 2024

Abdul-Rahman Abdullah, Matilda Davis, Amos Gebhardt, Anna Louise Richardson, Jacqui Stockdale, Jenny Watson

Horse Girl Energy explores the world of horse culture and the human-animal relationships that we form, and how this shapes the way in which they are perceived and represented.

The passion for the horse is felt nationwide currently and historically, for these animals are significant to almost every region on Earth and continue to shape our lives to this day. From stockyards to rodeos, from equestrian events to horse racing and to the simple companionship they provide.

This exhibition also features an “Equine Shrine’’ comprising of loans to the gallery from the local community made up of loaned works and other horse related items from artists and horse enthusiasts celebrating the horse and horse culture in Latrobe City and regional Victoria.

Proudly supported by Horseland Traralgon.
