Gabriella Calandro is a dedicated arts manager with a Fine Art background. Across her career Gabriella has worked to support communities to engage and experience art in new and informative ways. As a member of the PGAV Board, Gabriella enjoys contributing her knowledge and experience to strengthening the creative sector across Victoria, particularly in regional Victoria.
Gabriella is the Head of Engagement at the Shepparton Art Museum where she works with a team to support new audiences through programming, education, communication, program funding and special events. Prior to SAM, Gabriella was the Director of Grants and Curatorial Affairs at the New York Foundation for the Arts where she managed the organisation’s national programs and fostered new relationships with government organisations and philanthropic groups to grow and support funding opportunities for Creatives. Born and raised in Shepparton, coupled with her experience with Regional Arts Victoria, Gabriella has the relevant on-the-ground knowledge and experience to inform and support PGAV’s work and advocacy.
Gabriella holds a Master of Art Curatorship from the University of Melbourne and an honours degree in Fine Art (printmaking) from Monash University.
