Gabriel is currently an adviser to the Assistant Minister for Health and Aged Care, Ged Kearney MP. Prior to this, Gabriel worked in the Australian Public Service at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Attorney-General’s Department. 

Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma in Languages from the University of Melbourne, and undertook an Honours research year at the Australian National University. He has previously been involved with a number of community groups including the Australia-China Youth Association, United Nations Association of Australia, Community and Public Sector Union and the Young Workers Centre.
