Essays on Earth. Brodie Ellis, Paul Kane and John Wolseley

19 Sep 2023 – 14 Jan 2024

Essays on Earth is a collaborative exhibition by artists Brodie Ellis, John Wolseley, and poet Paul Kane. Ellis and Wolseley explore nature through photography, sculpture, and painting, while Kane's 'verse essays' on Earth, Air, Water, Fire complement the visual elements. Ellis magnifies local ecologies, focusing on seed pods and rock cross-sections, while Wolseley's paintings depict vibrant ecosystems. The exhibition includes a video installation merging poetry and imagery, creating a meditative experience that reflects on interconnectedness, inspiring awe for the intricate beauty of the natural world, both small and vast.
