Crossing Paths: Women supporting women in the MPRG Collection

25 Nov 2023 – 18 Feb 2024

Crossing Paths explores the connections between four women artists in the MPRG Collection; Guelda Pyke, Nancy Grant, Dorothy Braund and Barbara Brash. Through works of art donated to the Collection we see the friendships and generosity in which they supported each other as women artists in a predominately male world.

Each forged their own course in the mid-century Melbourne art scene, Crossing Paths through art school, social circles and travel they formed lasting friendships.

Crossing Paths will feature paintings and works on paper by Brash, Braund, Grant and Pyke from the late 1940s to the early 1980s.
