Get into Art

On the weekend of 24 and 25 October 2009, the Public Galleries Association of Victoria held its fourth state wide Get into Art! open day.
Most PGAV galleries participated in Get into Art! with a wide range of free programmes to entice new audiences into the galleries.
There were Children’s Markets and workshops for adults and children, tours “backstage” of collection and storage areas, artists and curators' talks, and concerts.

Sadly, in 2010 there will be no Get into Art, mainly due to lack of funding. However, all PGAV galleries have special programmes throughout the year where people of all ages can “Get into Art”.
