2009 PGAV Conference & AGM
Each year the PGAV holds a 2-day Conference, which also includes the Annual General Meeting. Venues alternate between metropolitan and regional galleries.
This year Benalla Art Gallery was our excellent host, providing not only spacious meeting areas and interesting exhibitions, but a great restaurant!
Speakers included Jon Hawkes, one of Australia's leading commentators on cultural policy and author of "The Fourth Pillar of Sustainability", Dr Robert Nelson, critic, writer, lecturer and artist; Annette Welkamp of Cultural Connotations, Ian Rogers from Arts Victoria, Georgia Cribb - Director of NETS Victoria, and Dr Jackie Healy, President of the CTIG (Cultural Tourism Industry Group).
There were also 3 member discussion and feedback sessions, two facilitated by Michael Rowe (generously provided to the PGAV through AbaF.)
Next year's Annual Conference will be held at TarraWarra Museum of Art on 24 & 25 May, 2010.
