The Public Galleries Association of Victoria (PGAV) invites you to attend FUTURE VISION: The Public Gallery in the 21st Century.
FUTURE VISION will provide an overview of Australian culture as we head towards the middle of the 21st century and present innovative approaches to curation, public and education programs as well as public and private support.
MONA will serve as the conceptual and physical backdrop to the conference. Since opening in 2010, MONA has set new benchmarks for public galleries – from innovative approaches to collecting and curation through to “O” – the mobile media visitor experience, and cutting edge gallery architecture.
The conference will bring delegates together to create an exciting vision for the future of public galleries in Australia.
FUTURE VISION will begin Thursday afternoon with a tour of MONA and the latest exhibition Theatre of the World, followed by the conference dinner at The Henry Jones Art Hotel – featuring two keynote addresses.
The next day delegates will return to MONA for a full day of presentations by leading presenters from across Australia. Presentations will be followed by interactive Q&A sessions – providing delegates with the opportunity to discuss their vision of the public gallery in the 21st century.
We look forward to seeing you at MONA!
