Benefits of Membership

The main benefits of membership are of being part of a large network of varied public galleries across the state. Our members include University galleries, contemporary art spaces, large and small public galleries in metropolitan and outer Melbourne, and regional Victoria.

The PGAV organises workshops and forums throughout the year, often at the request of its members.

The PGAV represents its members to and liaises with other peak bodies and funding bodies, such as Museum Australia, Arts Victoria and the Cultural Tourism Industry Group.

It also provides a secure online forum (chatline) for exclusive use of its members. This can be used by galleries to promote their programmes, share or ask for information, and is also used by the PGAV Executive Officer to share or request information regarding programmes of relevance to members.

Currently a printed flyer listing all members' contact details is being distributed to members, peak bodies, tourism outlets etc.

The PGAV has also produced this year an e-flyer to promote the galleries which participated in Get into Art!**

Regular e-newsletters will be emailed to all members in the new year.
