Special focus: One of the first public art museums dedicated to Australian Art. The NGV collection of Australian art numbers almost 25,000 works from the decorative arts and paintings to fashion and textiles.

Victorian Foundation for Living Australian Artists

PGAV (and other public galleries) have access to a special part of the NGV collection, the Victorian Foundation for Living Australian Artists. Because of the large number of loans that the NGV processes each year, galleries should allow 12 months lead time.

And, new for Kids!

NGV Kids corner is a new dedicated children’s gallery at Federation Square. It is a space where children and their families can enjoy creative installations and activities designed just for them.

NGV Kids corner is open from 10am–5pm, closed Mondays. Entry is free.
